The "Baár-Madas Református Gimnázium" represents Hungary in the international finals. The team of 'Baár-Madas Református Gimnázium' from Budapest won the Young People in European Forests (YPEF) contest’s national finals in Hungary, so they represent the country in 2011. 28 to 29 September at the international finals held in Poland, where thirteen European countries' students compare their skills.

Second step of Polish National Stage of "Young People in European Forests" YPEF 2010/2011 has finished!

    On 17th of June, in Warsaw University of Life Science the second step of Polish National Stage took place. 11 teams with their teachers from 10 schools came to dissolve an YPEF test. Participants had to answer 50 questions about forest and forestry in Europe, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ukraine.
    Teams, that received 50 points during first step, were invited to take part in second step.

Lithuanian National Stage

In 2011 12th of May plenty of young forest friends you could met in the corridors of Lithuanian University of Agriculture Faculty of Forestry and Ecology. Two events toked place under one roof: National stage of the contest "Young People in European Forests" and traditionally National Contest of Forestry. 5 teams of pupils were registered for the YPEF Contest, unfortunately just 3 teams, because of various reasons were able to take part in the Contests 12th of May.

Visit of Forest Friends Association representatives at the YPEF National Stage in Czech Republic

On 3rd-5th of June representatives of Forest Friends Association (TPL) from Poland – prof. Albert Dudek, Anna Trzosińska and Bożena Kawecka had a pleasure to attend the  Czech National Stage of YPEF organized by Ing. Stanislav Jansky and  Český svaz ochránců přírody (ČSOP), with support of Mayor of Pilsen City.
The YPEF contest was combined with Ecology Olympic Contest.  The participants of the contest were ten best teams from Czech schools, three persons in each team, chosen from 3 000 participants who started at the beginning.

In Poland results of the first step...

In Poland results of the first step of national stage, that took place on 28th April, has been accepted. On 30th  May meeting of National Contest Commission took place in Warsaw University of Life Science. Commission accepted 3012 tests from 620 polish schools. 14 teams got the highest score-50 points.

National Stage in Hungary

The first round of international contest "Young People in European Forests" in Hungary was completed successfully. The contest took place in the participating schools on 28 April. The final round in Hungary will be held at the Forestry Information Centre (Erdészeti Információs Központ, 1021-Budapest Budakeszi út 91.) on 25 June 2011.
