Organization of the Contest has started

The YPEF International Contest Commission has finally started with the Contest! We are completing partners from whole Europe. Some like Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine and Poland has already declared attendance at the Contest. At the same time the National Stage Contests are being prepared.

Contacts with forest institutions and non governmental organizations in European countries has been established. The YPEF International Contest Commission gathers friends from many countries. In Austria we are collaborating with Thomas Baschny from the Union of Austrian Foresters, the leader of FCN-Subgroup Forest Related Environmental Education. In Czech Republic we are cooperating with Stanislav Janský (the Association of Municipal and Private Forest Owners SVOL). Our partners in Hungary are László Hoczek, leader of the Hungarian competition “Kitaibel Pál” and Pál Kovácsevics from the Hungarian Forestry Association. In Spain it is Fernando Molina, President of the Confederación de Organizaciones de Selvicultores de España COSE. In Portugal our partners are Rosario Alves and Joana Bateira from Associação Florestal de Portugal FORESTIS. In Ukraine we are cooperating with Anatoliy Getmanchuk, Volyn’ Regional Subsidiary of the Association of Foresters of Ukraine. Poland in International Contest Commission is represented by Andrzej Kawalec and Maciej Białecki from the Forest Friend Association and Jacek Zadura and Jolanta Stankiewicz from the State Forests National Forest Holding.

 

All the European countries have been invited to join the YPEF Contest. We are waiting for final declarations from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Finland, Germany, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and others.
